On December 10, Thanh outclassed Japan’s Tanaka and Germany’s Anja Rheinbay to take a gold medal in the vault category.

The girl from Haiphong port city, who won a gold medal at the recent Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia, is in good form and is expected to shine at the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games in London.     

At the Toyota Cup, Vietnamese gymnasts competed in the floor, uneven bars, pommel horse and beam events for women, and the still rings, parallel bars and floor events for men.

After the two-day tournament which ended on December 11, they will take part in other international competitions in January 2012.
