Famous guitarists to entertain home audience
(VOV) -Female guitarist Le Thu will join with two male colleagues, Tuan Khang and Hung Phong, to perform at the French cultural centre L'Espace in Hanoi on April 18.
She will play classical pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Ástor Pantaleón Piazzolla, while Phong will concentrate on romantic and traditional Vietnamese songs by popular local composers.
Thu has been invited to play in 17 cities in different countries, including Turkey, Bulgaria and Malaysia after winning the best Asian artist award at the Calcutta International Classical Guitar Competition and Festival in 2010 and third prizes at similar events in Thailand and Romania in June 2011.
She is now head of the guitar faculty at the Indian Institute of Dynamic Music.
