Swedish photographer Eva Lindskog and her Vietnamese colleague Le Thiet Cuong jointly opened their photo exhibition in Hanoi on January 4, reminding visitors of their daily life during the subsidy period.

Nearly 20 photos by Eva Lindskog depict a busy market corner in the lead up to the Lunar New Year festival (Tet), a pavilion offering folk paintings for home decoration during the Tet holiday, people queuing in long lines to buy necessities, crowds of passengers sitting on top of train carriages, and a pho (soup noodle) vendor.

Meanwhile, 13 photos by Le Thiet Cuong highlight images of Hanoi’s people and landscapes between 2000 and now.

Eva Lindskog came to Vietnam in 1980s and traveled many places across the country.

The exhibition will run at the Museum of Ethnology till the end of January.
