Nearly 300 objects, including documents and images, on training cooperation between Vietnam and Russia are being displayed at an exhibition opened in Hanoi on December 5.
The exhibits are contributed by Vietnamese and Russian archives agencies, as well as individuals who used to study or work in the former Soviet Union and Russia.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong sent greetings and flowers to the exhibition. In the greetings, he wrote that the Vietnamese people always bear in mind and are grateful for the tremendous support of the people of the former Soviet Union and Russia to Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and construction.
The exhibition, which will last until the end of January 2009, covers three periods of the educational cooperation between the two nations, namely before 1950, 1950-1991 and from 1991 to date.
