Visitors to the Montreuil Museum of History in France now have the chance to learn more about the life and revolutionary career of Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh at an exhibition being held in Paris from October 20 to December 30.

On display at the “Ho Chi Minh in Paris” exhibition are more than 100 items and documents. There are various items from President Ho’s daily life, including a brick he heated to keep warm, a small chest and news articles on Nguyen Ai Quoc - his early name

The exhibition shows two important phases in President Ho’s revolutionary career during his time in France.

It includes the period from 1919 to 1920 when he struggled to make his way to France in the hope of finding a way to free his country from colonial chains.
The exhibition also looks at the following period until 1946 when he led a Vietnamese delegation to the Fonteneblo convention.

Historian Alain Ruscio said Ho Chi Minh was a symbol of desire for national independence and struggle against colonialism.

"President Ho was among the first people taking the lead in the world’s colonial movements and his name has gone into the histories of not only Vietnam and France, but of the whole world,” Ruscio said.

The “Ho Chi Minh in Paris” exhibition is part of celebrations for the 7th France-Vietnam cooperation meeting to be held from October 22-23 in Montreuil, east of Paris.
