An exhibition, entitled “Mexico, the nation of colours” was opened on February 18 by the National Library of Vietnam, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Embassy of Mexico in Hanoi.

Huynh Vinh Ai, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Thanh Bien, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and Sergio Rivaderneyra Martel, the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Mexico attended the opening ceremony.

The event promotes cultural cooperation between the two countries, as well as greater understanding of each other’s cultures.

The richness of the Mexican culture, history and festivals has been captured in thirty pictures by Ricardo Espinosa.

Visitors have an opportunity to discover the beauty of Mexico through the spaces of colour and light.

Huynh Vinh Ai calls this an important cultural event to strengthen the diplomatic ties between the two countries, which were established in 1975 as well as to draw closer the two people.

During the opening ceremony, the Embassy of Mexico presented the National Library of Vietnam with a set of Spanish language books, including literature and research publications by Mexican authors.

The similar exhibitions were previously displayed in Seoul, Ulan Bator, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Sydney and Singapore.
