An exhibition on cultural heritage specific to the Central Highlands (Tay Nguyen) opened in the central city of Da Lat on May 18 and will last until May 25.

Through more than 400 exhibits of many collections, the exhibition features the life, culture and beliefs of Tay Nguyen ethnic minorities such as Bana, Ede, Gia rai, K’hor, Churu, Jetrieng, B’rau, and Sedang.

Viewers have been especially attracted to the more than 100 gongs of various kinds, Tay Nguyen traditional costumes, crypt statues, and a kettledrum collection from Dak Lak province.

In addition, a collection of objects unearthed at archaeological sites at Lung Leng (Dak Lak) and Cat Tien (Lam Dong) offers insights into the cultural depth of tCentral Highlands ethnic groups.

The exhibition was co-organised by Culture and Information Departments of central provinces to mark the 116th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
