An exhibition of 20 traditional style, black-and-white wood prints titled Wild Dream are on display at Himiko Visual Cafe, Phan Dang Luu Street , Binh Thanh district in Ho Chi Minh City until June 24.

The prints, by artist Ha Hung Dung, shed light on the Vietnamese traditional wood carving and printing arts of Dong Ho and Hang Trong villages in northern Vietnam .

Dung said two of the works, Cho Que (Country Market) and Mo Hoang (Wild Dream), were inspired by deep feelings inside his sub-conscience.

Dung, 28, graduated as a graphic designer from HCM City Fine Arts College in 2006, where he won several prizes for his work.

The Wild Dream exhibition displays 17 artworks and four wood carvings. Some of the works are printed on do (poonah) paper, a hand-made paper from Bac Ninh province’s Phong Khe Village ./.
