An exhibition with the theme “Dao Phat va Tin nguong Viet” (Buddhism and Vietnamese faith) by painter Trinh Yen opened on May 15 to celebrate the UN Day of Vesak.
The exhibition features more than 30 large-scale paintings which are a unique combination between Eastern expressionism and Western use of colours, which portray the painter’s great respect for Buddha and Buddhism.
The paintings will be on display at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum until June 15 before being shown at the Hanoi Centre for Information and Exhibition, 45 Trang Tien Street from June 20-30.
