An exhibition featuring antiques made in northern Vietnam opened in Thai Nguyen province on February 27 to raise public awareness of the need to preserve Vietnam's cultural heritage.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung attended the opening ceremony which he paid particular attention to bronze drums dated back 2,000-2,500 years and a collection of paintings and porcelains belonging to the 12th-15th centuries.
Some 46 kinds of liquors, many of which are made by ethnic minority people, are also displayed at the exhibition, which is coupled with a trade fair to highlight local farm products.
