The host Yen Bai won nine gold medals, seven silvers and three bronzes, garnering 160 points. It was followed by Hoa Binh province (145 points) and Tuyen Quang province (142 points). 

The festival provided a great chance for northern ethnic minority athletes to meet and share their cultural assets. It contributed to building a healthy lifestyle among ethnic minority groups and supporting mass sports events. 

The province of Dien Bien will host the next festival.
