The cultural and history of ethnic groups in the north-eastern region are being showcased at an exhibition, which opened in the northern province of Bac Giang on Dec. 11.

This is part of the 6th Cultural Festival of ethnic groups in the north-eastern region, scheduled to be held in Bac Giang from Dec. 12-14.

Nearly 500 artifacts and more than 100 documentary photos were put on display to feature the customs and lifestyle of ethic minority groups living in the north-eastern region.

The exhibition displays Buddhist statues dating back to the 17th century and sculptures of temples and pagodas in Vietnam in different historical periods. It also highlights the great assistance given by minority groups to the Bac Giang people’s struggle against foreign aggressors.
