(VOV) -Four Vietnamese eSport players have arrived in Malaysia to contest the 2012 One Asian Cup, running from December 14–16.
The athletes have benefited from an intensive training programme using methods on the cutting edge of international standards, improving their skills and enhancing their competitive drive.
The national team was reformed four years after the third Asian Indoor Games (AIG) was hosted by Vietnam. This time, its players and trainers will be granted full status equivalent to athletes in other sports.
This is the third time the team has attended the event. The 2009 and 2011 squads—mostly consisting of FIFA 2 Online players—dominated the competition and brought home the titles victorious.
