The “Tiger Translate Metropolis” rock concert took place in Thong Nhat Park in the evening of November 12, featuring the Canadian band “Hail the Villain”, and “Ngu Cung” and “RoseWood” from Vietnam.

A VOVNews reporter interviewed Bryan Crouch, a singer in “Hail the Villain”, who are successful in the US with their strange melodies and hard rock and heavy metal styles.

VOVNews: Could you tell us how you felt when you came to Vietnam?

Bryan Crouch: It is wonderful to land in your country. Vietnamese people are very friendly. We are very happy to be welcomed by Vietnamese fans in this rock show.

We always thought that, since Vietnam experienced wars for a long time, it might be backward, however, Vietnam today is very different from what I expected and choosing to tour in Vietnam has been a good choice.

We have performed in many Asian countries such as Singapore and Japan, but Vietnam’s fresh atmosphere and friendliness make us very welcome. The band has given its best for Vietnamese audiences.

“Tiger Translate Metropolis” concert is on the theme of urbanization in Asia. It is remarkable that Asian nations still reserve their traditional cultures along with development and international integration.

VOVNews: What do you expect from this night’s show?

Bryan Crouch: I know Vietnam rockers are very enthusiastic and love rock music a lot. I hope we will enjoy a world of live music and painting.

“Hail the Villain” will perform all our biggest hits along with songs from our new album “Population: Declining”. We are very anxious to meet our new Vietnamese supporters and we feel very lucky to be here to perform for young rock fans.

VOVNews: Do you have any more cooperative music projects with Vietnam partners planned?

Bryan Crouch: I know many other foreign bands would like to come and perform in Vietnam. We want to connect with Vietnamese rock bands and will invite “Ngu Cung” and “RoseWood” to abroad and introduce the Vietnam rock style to international friends.

We also hope to return Vietnam in the near future.

VOVNews: Thank you very much!
