The Central Scientific Document Film Studio has completed a documentary film on the late Party General Secretary Le Duan to mark his 100th birth annivesary (April 7).

The 60-minute film, which will be screened on TV nationwide, features images of the late Party General Secretary Le Duan, known as the best student of the late President Ho Chi Minh. He is praised as an outstanding leader, a creative strategist and one of the most talented revolutionary activists of Vietnam in the 20th century. In the film, Mr Duan is described as a sincere communist who lives a simple life and is willing to make sacrifices for compassion and justice.

The film was based on Vietnamese historical documents, documentary information from other countries, including Britain, France and China, as well as personal recollections by historical witnesses and experienced revolutionary activists like General Vo Nguyen Giap, former Party General Secretary Do Muoi and former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
