A forum to protect the rights of Vietnamese children will be held on May 31 as part of activities in response to the Action Month for Children and International Children’s Day (June 1).

At the forum, children will have a chance to express their opinion about such themes as labour and entertainment sites for children in rural areas, the protection of children living in specially difficult circumstances, and the rights of children in mass media.

On the occasion, a club to connect children under the Association for Protecting Children’s Rights will officially make its debut.

Notably, the Odonto-Maxillo Facial Hospital has co-ordinated with the Humanitarian Arms Fund to conduct free surgery for 100 children with cleft palate.

To mark the event, Pacific Airlines also offered free air tickets to children under 15 years old on some local air routes.

*** The Vietnam Ethnology Museum will also organise a special programme on May 31 and June 1 for children on the occasion.
