The Denmark-Vietnam Cultural Support and Development Foundation launched experimental talent prizes for 2007 in the field of contemporary dance.

Speaking at a press briefing in Hanoi on June 19, Danish ambassador to Vietnam Peter Hansen said the contest aims to find young talented choreographers and contemporary dances, honour new-style contemporary dances, and promote the development of contemporary dance.

Contestants are Vietnamese citizens under 35 years old. They will express their ideas in a 200-word presentation along with two VCDs or DVDs. Works at the contest must be composed in recent years and not yet performed or entered into any competition.

Seven works selected for the final round will receive financial assistance to develop into complete works. They will be performed at the final night in Hanoi in November.
