The beauty contest, which was held in Hai Phong for the first time has added more colours to the city’s 2007 tourism festival.

Twenty out of 97 contestants from 16 coastal provinces and cities took part in the final rounds in three contents: swim suits, Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese women’s long dress) and self-selected costumes. Five contestants were then selected for the question and answer content.

As a result, Dang Minh Thu from northern Nam Dinh province won the Miss Sea of Vietnam 2007 title. The first and second runners-up were Vu Hoang Diep from Nam Dinh and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao from Hai Phong, respectively.

The organizers also presented prizes for the most beautiful face and best body to Miss Dang Minh Thu and the first runner-up Vu Hoang Diep.
