Central Nghe An province in coordination with the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is holding an exhibition in honour of late President Ho Chi Minh at the Nghe An Museum from May 17-30.

The exhibition displays more than 100 paintings and sculptures of President Ho Chi Minh by renowned artists, including Diep Minh Chau, Le Duy Ung, To Ngoc Van and Tran Van Can. The works feature images of Uncle Ho during the national struggle for independence, with children, ethnic minority groups and people from all walks of life.

The exhibition also introduces nearly 200 photos and documents on Nghe An province’s construction and development.

Earlier on May 16, the 2007 Sen Village Festival took place in Kim Lien Village, Nam Dan District, Nghe An province with the participation of more than 9,000 people. The festival was held in response to the campaign “to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” and the 12th National Assembly Election.

During the festival, a wide range of cultural and sporting activities were held, such as meeting historic witnesses who had met Uncle Ho, Sen village singing, youth camping, a volleyball competition, beauty pageant, film shows and a fine arts exhibition.
