To open these activities, the Vietnam Stamp Association and the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Centre will exhibit stamp collections in May as part of the ASEAN Stamp Collecting Contest for young people and children.
Meanwhile, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will launch a quiz on ASEAN.
People's committees and cultural and information departments of provinces and cities will disseminate information and hold art performances in streets and public squares.
In July, the Cinematography Department will organize a Week of ASEAN Films at the National Cinema Centre, and the Vietnam Television will provide audiences with a weekly programme entitled "ASEAN: 40-year cooperation and development", while the National Library will open an "ASEAN Books" exhibition.
In addition, visitors to "ASEAN Corners" in major cities’ museums will have a chance to enjoy traditional cuisine, fine arts and handicrafts and try on different national costumes.
