The bazaar, held on Saturday November 17 at Van Phuc Sports Centre in Kim Ma district, showed the many extraordinary talents in the Vietnamese handicraft arena.
Stallholders exhibited weaving, printmaking, jewellery, baskets, lacquerware, embroidery and many other fine crafts.
A number of stalls showed the work of people with disabilities, notably the Nguyen Nga Center in Binh Dinh province. The income from craft activities helps to fund free training and the organisation has placed more than 350 young people in work since its inception in 1993.
The event drew a large crowd of discerning buyers looking for the best Vietnam has to offer. Ticketholders were in the running for a series of lucky prizes and during breaks were entertained by the music and dance of ethnic groups.
