Fifteen folk art troupes from Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Lam Dong provinces in the Central Highlands will participate in the Cong Chieng (Gong) festival in Pleiku city on March 18 to honour the UNESCO recognition of Cong Chieng as a masterpiece of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humankind.
A Central Highlands Film Week will take place during the festival, featuring the land and ethnic groups of the region. The region’s achievements during the Doi Moi (Renewal) process and old-aged cultural artefacts will also be introduced at an exhibition.
