Quyen has gained a lot of useful experience in previous international pageants. She won the “Beauty with a Purpose” prize at Miss Tourism Queen International 2008, Best National Dress, Miss Internet, and was in the top 15 at Miss Supranational 2009.

Quyen will be the first Vietnamese beauty to attend 2 of the 5 World Grand Slam pageants.

The Vietnamese representative is now working with her designers and preparing carefully for the contest. She will arrive in China on October 21.

Last year’s winner, Miss Mexico Anagabriela Espinoza, will hand the crown to her successor on the final night of the pageant on November 11.
