A Chinese film week started in HCM City on September 11 and will last until September 17 to mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN diplomatic relations.

During the week, Vietnamese viewers will have a chance to see five Chinese films produced in 2005 and 2006, including "a romantic girl", "a time to love" and "Taekwondo".

The head of the Chinese Cinema Department will meet with officials from the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Information to discuss bilateral exchanges and other cooperation activities.

A similar film week will be held in Hanoi from September 13-17.

In another development, Vietnamese film director-cum-writer Minh Chuyen will be the country’s sole representative to attend the international film festival "Peace for Mankind" to be held in Pyongyang from September 13-22.
