To mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Malaysia on March 30, Genting-Resort World Bhd Group has co-ordinated with the Vietnamese embassy in Malaysia to organise the “Charming Vietnam” cultural week from April 26 to May 2.

On the occasion, Malaysian Minister of Unity, Culture, Arts, and Heritage Mos Sapi highlighted Vietnam’s great achievements over the past 15 years and the country’s diverse traditional culture.

Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Tien Tho said that Vietnam and Malaysia are active members of ASEAN community and have many similarities in culture. He expressed hope that the cultural week will contribute to promoting solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

The Vietnam Cultural Week aims to promote images of Vietnam and its people to international friends as well as introduce the country’s unique traditional culture with diverse activities such as art performances, fashion shows of ao dai (traditional long dress), water puppetry shows, and an exhibition displaying handicrafts and other cultural activities.
