Pham Linh Dan, a Vietnamese-French actress famous for her roles in French films, will soon return to Vietnam to star in the Vietnamese movie Choi voi (Lonely) directed by Thac Chuyen.

In Lonely, Dan will play a woman named Cam, one of the four leading roles in the movie.

The character, Cam is very attached to her girlfriend, Duyen. However, when Duyen gets married to a boy called Hai, Cam tries to destroy their happiness. Duyen is in turn upset when Cam falls in love with someone else.

Dan is best known for her 1992 role in the Oscar-winning French epic Indochine, starring alongside Catherine Deneuve and Vincent Perez.

She received a Cesar nomination for her role, but it was not until 2006 that she won the Cesar’s Most Promising Actress Award for her role in the French film, The Beat that My Heart Skipped.
