Vy, who is the world youth champion, will box in the women's U60kg category, while Duyen, who won a silver medal at the world youth tournament, will participate in the women's U54kg category.

Both are training in the Republic of Korea in preparation for the competition.

According to Vu Duc Thinh, head of the Boxing Department under the National Administration of Sports and Physical Training, the Republic of Korea is home to world champions, and would an ideal destination for Vietnamese boxers to hone their skills.
