The book, entitled “Soviet Union, Russia – Vietnam: Time-tested Friendship” was written by a group of Russian managers, social activists, writers, journalists and scientists, who have been closely in contact with Vietnam over the past years.
The 200-page book has 8 chapters, featuring the history of the development of the friendship and multilateral cooperation between the two countries over the past 50 years.
Milestones in the bilateral relations, such as the first Russian sailor arriving in Vietnam in the 19th century and the development of the two countries’ relations after the Russian October Revolution in 1917, were also reviewed in the book.
A photo reportage on Vietnam today, combining 41 pictures taken by Vietnam news agency’s reporters and ORVD Chairman Vladimir Byanov during his time in Vietnam, were included in the book.
