A book featuring President Ho Chi Minh, particularly the time when he lived in Thailand in late 1927, was introduced to Thai readers at a ceremony held at the Bangkok-based Pridi Banomyong Institute on July 29.

The book, entitled "Ho Chi Minh - An Everlasting Sage," reflects a historical period in the life of President Ho, who considered national liberation his most important task, said author Sukprida Banomyong, who is a son of former Thai Prime Minister Pridi Banomyong.

"I wrote this book out of respect and admiration for him. His revolutionary and moral life, his dignity and sincerity in building friendship and cooperation among people, including Vietnam-Thailand relations, have inspired me to write this book," revealed Sukprida.

Images featuring President Ho and Vietnam and its people were on display at the institute.

A seminar on Thailand-Vietnam relations over the past 30 years was also held, with the participation of Thai researchers from Thammasat University and Chulalongkorn University.
