Ambassador Hung said that thanks to encouragement from the leaders of the two countries and assistance from many organisations, the book was published to help people in both countries understand each other and strengthen bilateral co-operation.

The 250 page-book includes more than 200 photos and writings by senior leaders, professors, politicians and businesses from both countries on the long-standing relations of friendship and co-operation in many fields such as culture, education, trade, investment and tourism. The book includes passages by Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet and foreign ministers, highlighting a bright future for the relationship and promising effective co-operation between the two countries.

Many photos featuring the natural landscapes, traditional cultures, customs and daily lives of people from both countries are also included.
