The event will take place at two locations, the Ho Tram Beach Resort & Spa in Xuyen Moc district, and the Bien Dong (East Sea) Tourism Site in Vung Tau City.

Speaking at a press conference on Feb. 26, the deputy director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Van Son, said that at least 15 countries, including India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the US, have registered to participate in the festival. They will display about 300 kites of all kinds, making it the biggest ever national event for kite lovers, he added.

Indonesia, a venue for 20 kite festivals around the world, plans to send eight artists to Vietnam along with a vast huge kite measuring 275 metres in length.
