The duo, which features Klaus Paier on accordion and bandoneon, and Asja Valcic on cello and piano, will perform in the city’s Youth Theatre.

Now one of the great European accordionists with a worldwide repulation, Paier began tentatively exploring the accordion at the age of eight. He studied accordion and jazz composition at Klagenfurt conservatory in Austri, constantly experimenting in various styles (classical, jazz, contemporary music).

Being influenced most strongly by jazz and tango, Paier and Valcic have written and recorded 13 pieces for accordion/ bandoneon and cello.

The duo will also perform in HCM City ’s Music Conservatory on December 6. Their concerts are part of the European Music Festival.
