Air Supply, a renowned Australian Pop-rock band, has performed for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City.

British guitarist and vocalist Graham Russel and Australian lead vocalist Russel Hitchcock were really excited and surprised by the warm welcome of Vietnamese fans as they arrived in the city on Thursday afternoon.

Apart from several of their 17 international hits from the 1970s and 1980s like Making Love out of Nothing at all, Goodbye, lost in Love, All out of Love, Every Woman in the World, Sweet Dreams, Air Supply performed four new songs from their album, Mambo Jumbo, which will be released next year, during their show on Friday night.

They are in town as part of their tour of four Asian countries including the Philippines and Malaysia.

They will perform again on Saturday before flying to Indonesia.

The two met each other in May 1975 at a performance in Australia and formed Air Supply later that year along with Chrissie Hammond and two others.

The duo, one of the most successful bands of all time, also performed in Hanoi in 1995.
