AEI Vietnam, an Australian education organization, will launch many activities introducing Australia’s education and culture in January to mark the country’s national day (January 26).

Australian ambassador to Vietnam Bill Tweddell will preside over a scholarship granting ceremony for 17 Vietnamese excellent researchers in Hanoi on January 19. Each scholarship is worth between 25,000 and 195,000 Australian dollars (AUD). The event is part of a 1.4 billion AUD scholarship program to provide 19,000 scholarships to Asia-Pacific students in Australia.

In addition, there will be other activities such as an exhibition of photos reflecting the daily life of Vietnamese students in Australia, which recently won Australia-A Lifelong Experience prizes, and a seminar for Vietnamese students, who are expected to study in Australia.

An Australian film festival will be held in HCM City, Hanoi and the northern mountainous provinces of Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Ha Giang and Cao Bang from January 20 to February 4 to introduce six interesting films about the land and people of Australia.
