Asian Culture Festival in Potsdam
(VOV) - The Asian Culture Festival themed “Fire and Water” opened at Potsdam, Germany on August 4.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh introduced Vietnamese culture and arts to international friends and thanked Brandenburg state authorities and Potsdam for creating favorable conditions to organize the event successfully.
Representatives from Brandenburg state and Potsdam highlighted the Vietnamese community’s contributions to local economic development and cultural diversification.
The highlights of the festival include a dragon dance, a parade of 100 people in national costumes to depict a legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co and an exhibition of 30 poems from the Ly and Tran dynasties and some XQ hand-made embroidery and handicraft works.
There are music, dance and martial art performances to enjoy and also traditional foods and drinks served at various stalls.
