The Southeast Asian Publishers' Association and the General Consulates of the US and Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City are joining 26 foreign publishing houses in a book festival in the city.

The week-long festival, which opened on March 20, is a venue for over 10 million copies of 100,000 books of all kinds. They are displayed at 200 pavilions, including 36 from foreign publishers and book distributors.

During the book exhibition, entitled "Books-Knowledge, Integration and Development", there will be cultural exchanges such as a meeting with poet Inrasara, who won the Southeast Asian Literature Prize in 2005, English contests, and the signing of copyrights and contracts.
