The festival has been organised by the Vietnam Photographic Artists’ Association, in collaboration with the Fine Arts & Literature Association and the Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On show are more than 1,800 images by photographers from the eight southern provinces of Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan and Tay Ninh.

The photos showcase the natural beauty and diverse cultures of people in the south-eastern region.

The jury board has selected 153 of the best photos at the exhibition, and awarded first, second, third prizes, as well as a consolation prize, to 10 photos of Binh Duong beauty spots.

The festival will run until September 19.

Next year the 20th anniversary of the festival will be celebrated in Binh Thuan.
