The programme was attended by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and State Vice President Truong My Hoa. Many party and state officials, international visitors and Hanoians also attended.

The programme presented President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary cause through dance and song performances, poetry and documentary films.

The programme was split into three main parts, “President Ho Chi Minh - a hero of national liberation”, “Ho Chi Minh who sought ways to salvage his country” and “Ho Chi Minh- a worldwide cultural activist”.
