Nearly 200 wood antiques from the Nguyen dynasty are on display in the Vietnam History Museum in HCM City from April 4 to late October 2006.

The antiques include offerings and household articles of the golden age of handicrafts from the Nguyen dynasty.

During many valuable objects are a woodcarving product in red lacquer trimmed with gold by collector Nguyen Thi Tu Anh and a royal petition box dating back from the 19th century by the late scholar Vuong Hong Se.

During the exhibition, visitors can enjoy the sophisticated handwritings of horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences and musical instruments.
