An exhibition of 800 sets of wine utensils, thousands of years old, will open in the Ancient Citadel in Hanoi on February 12.

The items include various kinds of wine containers and wine utensils, dating back to the Bronze Age, 1000 BC, until the Nguyen Dynasty in late 19th century.

The artifacts show the development of the drinking culture and brewery industry over almost 3,000 years.

Also on display are articles which were unique to different dynasties namely Dinh, Le, Ly, Tran, Le, Mac and Nguyen, and articles believed to be sent to Vietnam from abroad in the post-Nguyen dynasty period.
