Tran Quy Thinh from the Vietnam Archaeology Institute said on August 1 that initial studies show that the bronze drum, measured at 65cm in diameter, dates back to the Dong Son Culture, 2,000-2,500 years ago.

The dealers said they discovered the drum on May 23.
