An ancient bronze bell was unearthed in Binh Dinh commune, Thang Binh district in the central province of Quang Nam on July 8 by a 14 year-old boy as he was looking for scrap metal in his family's garden.

The 100-kg bell, which was found 1.5m underground, is 94cm high with a diameter of 45cm at its widest. The bell has eight knobs and its perimeter is 1.13m.

Local people said the bell might belong to the village’s ancient pagoda destroyed during the previous wars.
