A concert of Hungarian music, to be held in Hanoi’s Opera House on January 30-31, will be the highlight of this year’s activities to mark the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic relations, announced the Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam, Vizi Laszlo.

A book in the Hungarian and Vietnamese languages about their 60 years relationship will also be published.

As part of the activities, there will be an exhibition to display bronze statues portraying Vietnam by Farkas Aladas (1909-1981) and a book fair to introduce Hungarian books that have been translated in Vietnam.

The restoration of a tower in Vung Tau to commemorate the famous Hungarian scholar of Oriental study, Alexander Csoma De Koros will be commenced soon.

In autumn, two composers of music for the Vietnamese film Dung Dot “Don’t Burn” directed by Dang Nhat Minh will visit Vietnam.
