Nguyen Van Phong, Hanoi’s HCM Communist Youth Union Secretary, said that 17 of the 98 top graduates from 42 universities and institutes in Hanoi had an average score of over 9.0. Besides their excellent grades, these students also overcame difficulties during their time of study, won prizes in national and international contests as well as came up with new scientific and technological inventions.

Before attending the awards ceremony, the laureates visited Hung Temples in northern Phu Tho province.

In the past four years, Hanoi has honoured 402 excellent university graduates. The event has drawn great attention of the public and encouraged outstanding students to further excel in their future studies and careers.
