The Dalat Academy is encouraging its pupils and members of the public in Da Lat city to help weave the world’s largest woollen blanket.

During the campaign launched by the AD@IY association in the city, Da Lat will join efforts with Montpellier in France to complete the work of art for exhibition in Ha Long Bay by 2010. Each person will knit a small piece of woollen cloth 10x10 cm in size and then sew them together to make the world’s biggest woollen blanket.

The blanket will come up for public auction during the 1000th anniversary celebrations of Thang Long-Hanoi to support Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Vietnam.
