The Ministry of Education and Training has announced its plan to select 50 students to study abroad under a State-funded project to train scientists and technicians.

The short-listed students will be sent to the US, Australia, the UK, China, Hungary, Belarus, and Germany.


All students who have graduated from senior high schools in 2006, have passed university entrance exam and are studying freshmen at universities are eligible. The same will be to those students who have gained medals at International Olympics competitions in 2006 and have won international prizes.


Students who want to study in the US and UK will have to present TOEFL certificates with a minimum mark of 550 or IELTS certificates with a minimum mark of 6.0.
