The Ministry of Culture and Information is devising a project to incorporate 22 ethnic minority languages and writings into its culture and information activities.

The programme aims to disseminate Party and State policies and laws to ethnic people in their languages, as well as raise the quality of their cultural life, said Vi Hong Nhan, Head of the ministry's Ethnic Cultural Department.

The use of these languages and writings will be encouraged in all radio and television programmes, newspapers, editions and ethnic arts performances.

Under the project, the focus will be on languages and writings of ethnic groups such as the E De, Xo Dang, Khmer, Tay, and Nung.
