The six films competing for the awards are Trang Noi Day Gieng (Moon at the Bottom of the Well), Giai Cuu Than Chet (Save the Death), Dep Tung Centimet (Beautiful to the Last Centimetre), Huyen Thoai Bat Tu (The Legend Is Alive), Chuyen Tinh Xa Xu (Untitled Love Story) and Cu va Chim Se Se (Owl and The Sparrow).

Other kinds of films also taking part in the event include TV films, TV serials and cartoons.
