The 2006 Hue Festival, the fourth and the largest cultural-tourist event of its kind so far, closed on June 11 with a night-time showcase of music, dances and light.
The nine-day event brought together 44 local and international art troupes and hundreds of painters, musicians and sculptors from France, China, Russia, Indonesia, Britain, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Argentina and Australia. It attracted 1.5 million visitors, including 150,000 foreign tourists.
According to the organisers, the fifth Hue Festival will be held in June 2008.
