The Gong (Cong Chieng) Festival will provide a good chance for domestic and foreign visitors to have a better understanding of revolutionary traditions as well as special and unique culture of Central Highlanders.
The first Ethnic Group Unity Congress and a ceremony to honour the UNESCO recognition of Cong Chieng as a masterpiece of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humankind will be held in Pleiku City, Gia Lai province on March 28-29.
The festival is expected to attract around 1,600 artisans and 15 gong art troupes of 11 ethnic minority groups from the Central Highlands, Hoa Binh and Binh Phuoc provinces, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
